Growing your own microgreens is easy! Follow these simple steps and watch your little garden come to life. 💚
1. 🥥 EXPAND YOUR COIR
Place the coconut coir pellet into your Vegebuds pot.
Slowly add about 1–1½ cups of water and allow the pellet to absorb the water and expand.Use your wooden planting stick to gently loosen and mix the coir until it becomes soft and crumbly.
Tip: If the coir feels very wet, let excess water drain before planting.
2. 🌱 PLANT YOUR SEEDS
Open your Vegebuds seed packet and sprinkle the seeds evenly across the surface of the coir.
Gently press the seeds into the growing medium using your wooden planting stick.
🏷️ Place your plant label in the pot.
3. 💧 WATER
Using your spray bottle gently sprinkle the surface with water.
Keep the coir moist but not soaking wet.
Check your pot every day. If the surface looks dry, give it a little water.
Don't overwater! Too much water can prevent your seeds from growing properly.
4. ☀️ LET IT GROW
Place your Pot in a dark cupboard for 2-4 days to aloow for fast germination.
Once the seeds have sprouted ,place your pot in a warm, bright location with plenty of indirect sunlight.
Watch your microgreens grow each day! 🌱
Once they begin sprouting, make sure they receive plenty of light so they can grow strong and green.
5. ✂️ HARVEST & EAT!
Your microgreens should be ready to harvest in approximately 14 days, depending on growing conditions.
When they're tall, green, and ready, ask an adult to help you snip them just above the growing medium.
🥗 Add your fresh microgreens to:
Sandwiches
Salads
Wraps
Eggs
Smoothies
